Hailing from Montreal, Barn Burner should eventually come to be realized as another great riff-rock / stoner band to emerge out of the Canadian music scene in 2010. Featuring eleven bong-hit tracks to level both your jaw along with your consciousness, Bangers should appeal to fans already hip the sublime ways of Fu Manchu, Clutch, and the almighty Thin Lizzy.

While not as heavy as label mates Bison BC (who have a new album materializing in April of this year) there are certainly similarities in musical styling between the two bands. If you could add in a band like Priestess to the mix, I'd call that a potential triple bill of like-minded music that would be an evening of coolness to be reckoned with.

To me, what stands out most on Barn Burner's album is the musicianship. The band sounds really clean, and manage to levy an impressive display of song-crafting on Bangers. The album explodes from song one ('Holy Smokes') and continues to impress with tracks like 'Fast Women', 'Beer Today, Bong Tomorrow' and 'Brohemoth'.

Barn Burner will tour Banger heavily through 2010. There are a few live dates listed below, and more will be announced shortly.
